Hello! My name is Heather Steele, and I am so excited to be apart of Tandem this year!

I was raised in Southern California and was homeschooled k-12. I am the oldest from a family of seven, and they were all homeschooled as well! My husband and I have been married for 16 years and have 3 boys and two grown bonus daughters. In 2018 our oldest son started our homeschooling journey. We had a hybrid homeschool program in So. Cal that we loved but in 2019 we moved to Texas and that started our full time homeschooling career! The weather in Texas was too wild for me and too far from family. So we packed up and moved back to the West! Arizona is where we now call home.

In my spare time I love hiking, listening to audiobooks, cooking and baking, lounging by the pool, serving at our local church and being with friends and family. The beach holds my soul and it feels the most at home to me. All my boys surf! Traveling to new places is a favorite of mine. Some of the best places I’ve visited are Zion, Kanab, the grand Tetons and Sedona. I love watching my kids play sports with a coffee or Alani in hand!

Arizona has brought us some pretty amazing friends and homeschool community! Im looking forward to being apart of Tandem and seeing what this wonderful year has in store for us!
