Hello! My name is Marcela, though most people know me as Marcy. I was born and raised in beautiful California, where I developed a passion for working with people and helping others. I earned my degree in Criminal Justice and had the privilege of serving in the Arizona court system for four years. That experience taught me so much about communication, integrity, and the value of community. I’ve also had the opportunity to work with students at Legacy Traditional School, which deepened my love for education and encouraged me to be more involved in supporting children and families.

My husband, Elvis, and I have been married for 10 wonderful years. We moved to Arizona 14 years ago and have truly made it our home. We are the proud parents of two incredible kids—Abigail, who is 9, and Ethan, who is 7. Our family loves sports! You can usually find us on the field or court cheering each other on. We especially enjoy basketball, baseball, and softball. In my personal time, I love being outdoors, going on hikes, and running. Participating in races and community runs has become a fun way for me to stay active and motivated.

Faith and family are the cornerstones of our life, and we’re thankful for every opportunity God gives us to grow and serve others. I feel so honored to be part of the Tandem team and am excited to build meaningful relationships with you and your children. It’s such a blessing to join a Christ-centered community that values both education and the hearts of our students. I’m looking forward to an amazing year together!
