Hi there! My name is Nyah Walling, and I have the privilege of joining Tandem this year to teach the 5th–8th grade class “The Art of Communication.” I am a coffee enthusiast and radical Jesus follower who loves the simple things like adventures, blankets, and conversation.

My husband, Elijah and I moved out to the West Valley from California in October 2025 for an awesome ministry opportunity. He leads the high school and middle school ministry at our local church here in Arizona. I have been so grateful to be by his side in these new ministries, to serve and raise up the next generation.

We were both homeschooled after 3rd grade. Both of our parents were hesitant about the calling but displayed great obedience, and we are now reaping the fruit of their labor. I have been so blessed to be raised in a Jesus-loving home, and I now live passionately in the small role I get to fill in the radical story God is writing for every student I encounter.

My husband and I are passionate about championing families, and I can’t wait to do that here at Tandem—to champion you as parents as your students dive deeper into learning who God is and how to live lives that glorify Him.

The best framework for the Lord God to do His most ideal work is when things are absolutely impossible and we feel totally unqualified to handle it. That’s His favourite circumstance. Those are His ideal working conditions. - Chuck Swindoll
