The ART of COMMUNICATION Teacher 9th - 12th Grade
Hi, I'm Rochelle! I am excited to be returning to the Tandem family for my third year and look forward to teaching High School Art of Communication this year!
My husband, James, and I met in high school in San Antonio, Texas, and moved to Arizona a few years after we were married. We've now called the West Valley home for eight years and have four wonderful children—Brielle, Kaity, Ella, and Jamie. This year marks our seventh year homeschooling, and it has been such a blessing for our family.
I have worked with children of all ages throughout my life because I genuinely love investing in young people. I believe every child is uniquely created by God with individual gifts, strengths, and a purpose, and I love helping students discover the confidence to use those gifts.
I have always enjoyed history and am excited to help students connect historical events to biblical truth as they grow in their faith and learn to thoughtfully communicate and defend what they believe. My hope is to create a classroom where students feel encouraged to ask questions, engage in meaningful discussions, and grow academically and spiritually.
I am so thankful to be part of the Tandem community and look forward to partnering with families as we encourage students throughout this school year.
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7
